Second Class Change Guide

So, you as a Dragonica player finally hit the magic level number of 20. You may be wondering what the proceedure is to becoming your next class as the methods have varied every test. Well fear no longer as the fourth Newbies Guide to Dragonica plans on detailing all there is to know about the class change, especially around the complicated level of Farrel.

It is required that you complete all hero quests up to the end of the Toto mission (Haven’t been able to confirm that, but most people finish it anyway by level 20). You must then seek out your classes trainer in the Port of Winds. You must accept one of the two given quests by him/her in regards to changing class. The classes that you can change into are:

Magician –> Acolyte OR Battlemage

Warrior –>Knight OR Gladiator

Thief –> Assassin OR Jester

Archer –> Hunter OR Ranger

[Information about these classes may be discussed in a future entry into the guide.]

Once you have chosen your class you will be given two missions to complete. Your first one is to visit one of the costal regions of the world (You can identify it by the sharks and crabs) and collect 20 class scrolls from any monster. Once completed, you have to do another 4 star mission on the Toto mission map, however this may be done as a group.

Afterwards, you are given a gas mask where you can undergo the final, and most challenging quest you have done so far, beating Farrel. If you are low level 20s then I highly recommend you do it as a group of 4 with lots of potions, since it is no simple feat.

[Safety Warning]

The use of the gas mask is recommended to prevent death from poisoning, which takes approximately 40HP every few seconds.

The enterance to Farrel’s Mission area is through the sewers, which is a task off of its own, as you must beat many different bosses to collect 5 keys in order to have a shot at killing him. From here on, you can either view the following youtube video of mine which explains most of Farrel’s instance with a few facts missing due to changes between Pre-CBT and CBT, or you can read on for my step by step walkthrough of the mission.

Step By Step

Step 1

Run across to the right, dodging all of the pools of poison. If you fall in, you will fall over and lost HP every few seconds. Continue right until you reach a ladder, which you must climb up to go to the second level. Head left and you should soon come across a red door.

Step 2

You must defeat Alvino Vegabond (Upgraded) and collect a key from him. Alvino Vegabond can be identified by its green tinge, while the others are darker blue in colour. Once defeated, leave the room and head left. Jump over the gaps in the floor until you reach a green door and enter.

[NOTE: To get in to the room to beat Farrel, the LEADER must have all the keys, irrespective of what keys others have. They are non-tradable as well]

Step 3

You must now defeat the Steamed Juju which is among the crowds of shark monsters patrolling the area. Once defeated, collect the second key and escape out of the same door. Head left again and jump over the gaps in the floor. Finally you can head upstairs for your next challenge.

Step 4

The next part is what most people find challenging. You must head right dodging the spikes coming from the ceiling, until you come to a very big gap in the floor. You will notice that there are platforms that move across the gaps. You must jump from platform to platform until you reach the other side, else you will fall back to either the first or second levels. Halfway through, you will come across a yellow door. Enter it.

Step 5

You must beat Chief Cook Kakanu whilst avoiding his allies which are mostly blue with evil smiley faces on their arms. Afterwards, collect the key and leave the room. Continue heading right, this time jumping over three moving platforms instead of two and head upwards.

Step 6

This is definately the most challenging part of the instance for most people. What you have to do is jump from ladder to ladder on the wall until you get to the top. I will let everyone figure out how to do this themselves unless you want to view the video on it. Here is a hint, you use more than just ladders on the wall. Once you make it through to the top, run PAST the blue door (It is empty) head left to the jumping platforms, Climb the wall using the Z button to jump from platform to platform until you reach the top. Jump across the gap in the floor you just climbed up and go through the purple door.

Step 7

Your 4th boss is Franken Doju who is similar to Toto and Tutu from the previous instances. Take him down and claim your 4th key. Once you exit the room, jump over the gap in the floor and head left. This time, jump down the gap in the floor and continue heading left until you reach the stairs. You have now arrived at your final floor. Dodge all the lasers until you reach the center of the room… notice how there is a door in the background? Enter through that door.

Step 8

You have arrived at your final mini-boss… the Bald Porky. Once you defeat him, claim the key, leave the room and head right. Once your team has assembled there, have the leader enter the room and all will follow. Then… you shall start the battle.

Step 9

Defeat Farrel. There is no one way to defeat him as there are so many variables such as level, number of party members, classes etc. Farrel attacks with a variety of diffferent attacks from all the different characters you have fought before, most often the most annoying from each of them. If you don’t succeed level up a little bit more, get more party levels or anything else to increase your firepower.

Good Luck Everyone!
